The JanRain team is comprised of 12 Internet ninjas who have built the next generation of web based communication and reputation services. The first service is the comprehensive communications and reputation platform, PIBB, which leverages OpenID’s decentralized and user-centric identity.

JanRain has been working on the development of the OpenID protocol for over 2 years. Over this time we have become a recognized leader in the OpenID marketplace, the predominate supplier of the tools and utilities driving the OpenID ecosystem, and through MyOpenID.com, a leading provider of OpenID accounts.

Our mission is to provide you and your organization services that allow you to communicate and transact with other people in a secure and trusted OpenID ecosystem.

Michael is JanRain’s CEO leading product strategy, business development and all-things-JanRain. Previously Michael was the CTO of Verisign’s VIS division as well as the founder of Signio, an on-line payment processing company, that was acquired by Verisign in 2000.

Larry founded JanRain shortly after moving to Portland, Oregon. He concentrates on the daily operations of the software teams. Prior to JanRain, Larry co-founded Desktop.com and Four11 Corporation and worked at Yahoo!.

Kevin works with the JanRain engineering ninjas to create products that are valuable to people and help to grow communities. He loves to get feedback from the community about JanRain products (Jyte, MyOpenID, Pibb). If you have any please let him know. Before JanRain, Kevin was VP of Sales & Marketing at NaturalPoint Inc., where he successfully grew vibrant communities around their different optical tracking systems.
