What makes Pibb so great?
Pibb brings together the familiarity of forums, power of blogs, flexibility of email and convenience of instant messaging in one browser window. All messages are delivered in real time, then archived automatically for later search/viewing. This feature set makes Pibb ideal as a communication back-channel for conferences, for use as a support tool, or for community based private/public discussions.
Where do I start?
The first thing you will need to do is to make sure you have an OpenID account. Pibb requires an OpenID account to login so if you do not have one already, you can get one quickly and easily at myOpenID.com.
It is worthwhile to note that all AOL and LiveJournal users already have OpenID accounts and can login to Pibb with only their AOL screen-name or LiveJournal user-name.
Once you have an OpenID account its time to login to Pibb: https://pibb.com/signin
Who is using Pibb?
- Private person to person discussions - Threaded one to one communications. It works like instant messaging, but is searchable and the receiver will always get your messages, even if they aren’t online.
- Private group communications - Perfect for distributed companies and teams who need to stay in touch and connected.
- Public group discussions - Brings together open communities in real time. Perfect for connecting and planning at events, and as a replacement for mailing lists.

Anything else I should know?
Our goal is to make Pibb a discussion aggregator for the many fragmented online communities that exist. People are now participating in discussions on blogs, a host of social networking sites, IRC, and yes some people are still using email. Pibb will make it possible to keep track of these discussions in one central place.
