On Monday through Wednesday of this week, many OpenID practitioners and interested parties arrived at the computer history museum in Mt. View California for Internet Identity Workshop
Representatives from AOL, Google, JanRain, MySpace, Plaxo, Vidoop, Yahoo, and many other OpenID players participated in the three day event. John McCrea of Plaxo captured a great photo montage.
Brian Ellin of JanRain and Lee Hammond of Universal Music Group shared some thoughts about OpenID user experience (UX) and Brian gave a demo of JanRain’s RPX hosted OpenID-enablement service which can be seen in production at Velog.
The OpenID Foundation shared the results of recent market research on OpenID adoption success stories and requested enhancements. Andy Powell of the Eduserv Foundation gave a good summary of this session.
Also referenced at the event was significant international adoption of OpenID in Japan and Europe.
We look forward to seeing even more people at the next Internet Identity Workshop coming up in May of 2009.
