We need a web application architect with sales support experience to help global brands understand how they can leverage our web-based SaaS user management platform.
 
Demonstrate javascript client integrations and JSON REST server integrations that support a variety of platforms including entertainment and e-commerce/e-tail web sites, web applications, HTML5, CSS3 mobile web, native mobile applications in Apple iOS, and Google, Android and traditional web sites, CMS and integrations and more on our cloud-based globally distributed secure data infrastructure.

POSITION

Work hand-in-hand with our effective and professional sales team. Leverage your vast knowledge of web, mobile, and traditional software architecture. Show customers how they can integrate our products quickly and effectively.
 
This is a customer facing, hands-on technical engineering position focused on assisting customers with technical issue resolution. This individual will participate in phone, e-mail, and/or in-person direct customer interactions to quickly assess and troubleshoot mission critical issues, document product enhancements or defects.
 
In addition, this individual will assist in identifying opportunities to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of customer success. This individual will strive to innovate and break the boundaries of traditional “support” to develop a leading model for customer success.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Possess a working knowledge of common and cutting edge web technologies.
  • Be familiar with identity technologies and sources like OpenID, OAuth, FaceBook, and Twitter.
  • Understand and explain application architecture and systems integration.
  • Assist Account Executives in analysing sites to qualify leads.
  • Be creative and inventive when reviewing customer sites and looking for integration options.
  • Respond to customer requests for technical information on Janrain products.
  • Answer technical questions for customers throughout the sales cycle.
  • Provide direct customer training and support for pre-sales integrations.
  • Interface with our Deployment Engineers and Technical Support teams.
  • Develop integration plans at a strategic and architectural level.
  • Collaborate with customers to design work-flows and data-schemas that achieve their goals.
  • Work with Professional Services to develop of Statements of Work, and Pilot programs.
  • Facilitate any customer technical acceptance tests.
  • Develop and execute on sales strategy for opportunities in collaboration sales.
  • Design site experiences that blend our products in a way that delights users.
  • Host requirements gathering sessions with technical buying teams.
  • Articulate clearly how our solutions address a prospect’s specific use case.
  • Describe effectively why our product is best on the market.
  • Compare and contrast favorably our products our competitors offerings.
  • Teach prospects about industry norms and best practices.
  • Successfully guide  customers through product trials, proof of concept, and pilots.
  • Transfer knowledge of new customers to deployment and support teams.
  • Contributes significantly to responses to requests for proposals from prospects.
  • Help develop and maintain systems process documentation and training for Sales.
  • Deliver systems & process training to new hired members of the sales organization.
  • Work on cross-functional team on special projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, related technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3 to 5 years in a web related professional consulting role.
  • You must be authorized to work in the United States

REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated strong web programming skills and extensive knowledge of web architecture.
  • Experience with web authentication and social sharing integration is a big plus.
  • Experience doing discovery call, requirements gathering, storyboardng, defining use cases, and performing task and work flow analysis.
  • Demonstrated an ability to critically and quickly evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicting input.
  • Track record of success in driving projects/initiatives to successful completion
  • Work effectively in fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • High level of energy, efficiency and flexibility
  • Social media analysis and tracking
  • Programming experience with some key programming languages
  • Ability and willingness to travel
