Fueled by interactive agencies integrating Janrain solutions into their offerings and increased demand by agencies to leverage Janrain solutions on behalf of their clients, Janrain has plenty of opportunity to expand its reach and is only adding business development professionals with the track record and desire to contribute to building a world-class SaaS company.      

This role requires a tenacious, intelligent business development professional that can think on their feet, learn our products and social media space, talk with many types of agencies, and take a strategic approach. The candidate will oversee the strategic and day-to-day account management of top-tier agencies.  The Director of Agency Programs will be responsible for the successful implementation and ongoing usefulness and value our products and services bring to our agencies’ business and clients. He/she will need to identify and leverage new marketing and sales opportunities through our existing agencies and interface directly with the Janrain sales and marketing organizations to oversee the completion of these opportunities.

Janrain provides marketers with an easy to implement set of solutions for customer acquisition, engagement, targeting and monetization. Our flagship product, Janrain Engage, allows organizations to register and login site visitors with their existing credentials from Facebook, Google, Yahoo!, Twitter, LinkedIn. Through this process, the site is able to import rich user profile data and address books, as well as encourage the user to share their on-site activities with their social networks to drive additional traffic. Additional Janrain products and services provide customers with a complete user management platform that includes single sign-on and user profile database solutions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, launch and manage a robust agency program that includes product, marketing, sales and other key components.
  • Successfully drive the execution of agency enablement and marketing programs including promotions. Define measurements of success for each program. Ensure on-time and on-budget execution of plans with strong attention to details.
  • Ensure successful transfer of leads from agencies to Janrain sales team and track to completion.
  • Work with product and customer support teams to define on-boarding process, customer support and implementation as necessary.
  • Perform regular status reviews with top-tier agencies to discover new requirements, present new Janrain product functionality, and identity and resolve any issues.
  • Serve as the primary ‘face of Janrain’ to the Agency market, participating in events, and contributing to thought leadership in the space.
  • Conduct regular trainings with the sales, product and marketing teams to share insight into the channel.
  • Contribute to the overall sales strategy and share successes.

 

Requirements

  • 5-7 years in an account, partner marketing or agency management position with a proven track record of success in relation to partner co-marketing and sales opportunities
  • Deep experience with developing and managing an Agency program of a SaaS company
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Business or Technology
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with solid experience in presenting and delivering key messages to internal and external audiences
  • Strong passion for and knowledge of technology, emerging media and the Internet; interactive strategy experience required either within an agency or in-house position. 
  • Excellent research/lead generation, data and analytic skills. Ability to assess business opportunities, track and analyze results. 
  • Ability to effectively manage time, reach decision-makers and quickly determine opportunity potential
  • Team player with proven track record in working effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to move fast and thrive in a dynamic, quickly-changing environment Strong attention to detail and ability to QA own work
  • Tenacity and ability to think on your feet
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and using online webinar technology to conduct product demos.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
