Digital and Social Media Strategist

Janrain, the leader in user management solutions for the social web, is looking for a digital strategist to deliver upon digital and social media strategy engagements for Fortune 1000 clients. This role requires a social media professional to work with existing customers and prospects to conceptualize, sell in, and implement digital and social media strategies and programs that leverage Janrain products. The position will work closely with sales, marketing, and solutions engineering. This is an opportunity to deliver innovative services to global brands involved with cutting edge social media and online identity challenges.

Janrain provides marketers with an easy to implement set of solutions for customer acquisition, engagement, targeting and monetization. Our flagship product, Janrain Engage, allows organizations to register and login site visitors with their existing credentials from Facebook, Google, Yahoo!, Twitter, LinkedIn. Through this process, the site is able to import rich user profile data and address books, as well as encourage the user to share their on-site activities with their social networks to drive additional traffic. Additional Janrain products and services provide customers with a complete user management platform that includes single sign-on and user profile database solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring digital and social expertise and collaborate internally to build and present solutions to large clients and prospects. This is not a sales role, but a consultative role with current and prospective clients. This position has high visibility and will demand a highly-polished professional who can communicate effectively with C-level executives in a variety of industries.

Responsibilities

  • Translate a thorough understanding of each client’s brand, target markets, online and social media marketing goals into recommendations that will help the client realize measurable business results.
  • Define and articulate how Janrain can, should, or could fit in with a variety of digital experiences and environments, including existing technologies on prospect and client sites and mobile applications.
  • Create and define strategy, user experience, analytics, and business performance deliverables associated with custom client projects.
  • Contribute to building Janrain’s thought leadership through speaking engagements, publishing, and related activities to enhance marketplace visibility.
  • Develop high impact sales collateral and tools surrounding digital and social media services offerings.
  • Work closely with account team members, ensuring alignment with sales and delivery of digital and social media services.
  • Leverage knowledge of social media platforms to develop and deliver client-facing training and webinar sessions.
  • Contribute to and lead Janrain team skill development and digital and social "evangelization" initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years previous interactive strategy experience required either within an agency or in-house position.
  • Excellent client management, strategic thinking, and executive communication skills.
  • Strong passion for and knowledge of technology, emerging media and the Internet.
  • Demonstrated expertise in social media, digital marketing, specific verticals or related topics.
