Digital and Social Media Analyst

Janrain, the leader in user management solutions for the social web, is looking for a digital analyst to deliver against digital and social media strategy client engagements. The digital analyst role is client-facing, and requires someone with strong practical experience in digital marketing and social media.

Janrain provides marketers with an easy to implement set of solutions for customer acquisition, engagement, targeting and monetization. Our flagship product, Janrain Engage, allows organizations to register and login site visitors with their existing credentials from Facebook, Google, Yahoo!, Twitter, LinkedIn, and many others. Through this process, the site is able to import rich user profile data and address books, as well as encourage the user to share their on-site activities with their social networks to drive new sources of traffic. Additional Janrain products and services provide customers with a complete user management platform that includes single sign-on and user profile database solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring a background in digital marketing, and be comfortable working with a variety of roles within client organizations. This role will be primarily responsible for delivering strategic insights and value to clients through their strong understanding of digital marketing goals, social media tools and technologies, and the customer’s business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage defined deliverables for customers.
  • Present digital and social media strategy documents to diverse client stakeholders, including C-level executives, directors, and program managers.
  • Manage digital marketing programs for customers, including tracking program success.
  • Assist in developing new digital marketing deliverables and strategies for clients.
  • Create schematics and visual designs that drive toward defined marketing objectives.
  • Review Janrain client implementations both for great user experiences and great program results.
  • Drive results through defining and delivering digital marketing KPIs.
  • Assist in training sales team on digital marketing methodologies, landscape and trends.
  • Create client success stories that can be leveraged for by the Marketing team for case studies.

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of digital marketing strategies and tactics across a range of disciplines including social media, search marketing, e-commerce, lead generation, web analytics and others.
  • Able to communicate fluently with both business and technical audiences, especially marketing professionals and engineers.
  • Digital and social media marketing fluency for multiple verticals, including media and entertainment, e-commerce and B2B.
  • Ability to create high quality, polished documents with little supervision, including website wireframes, spreadsheets, and Powerpoint presentations.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, including the ability to target messaging and communication styles at distinct audiences.
  • Strong understanding of social media marketing tools, technologies, and landscape, and Janrain’s role in the market.
  • Able to drive consensus among multiple stakeholders both inside and outside the organization.
  • Experience working on multiple projects at once in an extremely fast-paced environment with high level of turnaround. Experience working in a startup is a plus.
  • Exacting attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Technology, or related field.
